The work presents the design of a modal structure in refractive, non-photonic, singlemode and low-mode capillary optical fibers (COF). A classical dispersion eigenequation was used to calculate the characteristics in a depressed cladding COF. The results were used for the design of COFs with preset modal characteristics for sensors, chemical microfluidics and photonic functional components.Full Text: PDF
